we are not seeking intrusiveness, only a reminder for those busy in this season, who may have forgotten or misplaced some of our previous relatings.
We are expanding our focus broadly and deeply in 2020, as outlined in our November/December BLOG updates!
These expansions(below) are, in addition to work we already do in multiple countries over the past 9 years:
education coordination in Iraq/Kurdistan targeting mid-level and lower-level leaders
TCD – Transformational Community Development in the Middle East and Serbia(Balkans)
ELD – Entrepreneurial Leadership Development in the context of TCD in all countries we work in … and focused on Yazidi and Kurds and Serbs
education translations, focused on expanding in the Middle East, specifically among the Kurds and Yazidi
Kurds and Yazidi better enabled to expand the Development/TCD in countries near/in Kurdistan
Relief and Development work among refugees in Kurdistan/Iraq
EOY – End Of Year donations so far, have us wondering if maybe we’ve not communicated well. If you have not yet considered your EOY giving focus, please consider how you might enjoy vesting in those we serve, especially as we all join together in furthering Development and Self-sustainment !
These financial needs are:
$ 15,000 annually for 4x trips per year … usually 6-8 country locations, villages, refugee areas, etc.
$ 1,400 monthly personal … due to donations attrition and cost of living increases
$ 60,000 annually to specific projects, especially in Kurdistan/Iraq and the Middle East, where so much is suffering is present, and TCD Development expansion is so needful
Feel free to contact us for any clarifications and levels of current needs met.
Giving links are below.
Grateful for you … grateful for all your considerations!
Monument, CO TCD … SKYPEing in Priya(our STT member in SERBIA in May)Outside TCD Training in Colorado is closer to outside under a tree in Africa/India 🙂What a great group, eager to implement TCD principles globally & locally!
TCD – Transformational Community Development training is extremely rare in the USA. Very frequently, our staff are in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Eastern Europe … teaching and activating TCD in impoverished villages and communities. So when two local groups approached us here in Colorado, for teaching them the full 1st level of TCD, we were almost in shock.
At their initiative, they were eager learners, both from a level of implementing TCD in the impoverished settings they personally work in locally/globally, as well as the principles of TCD that spill over into so much of healthy life and living.
SKYPE-ing in live TCD Workers from Ethiopia, Iraq, Jordan, Nepal and our recent STT-Short Term Team member Priya(who did an excellent job of explaining the health assessments we did in Serbia in May) … was key to helping all attendees sense a “realness” to this training, on the ground, in various countries and settings!

This TCD Training in Colorado, and YOUR faithfulness in financial contributions and caring … are all most effectual in bringing communities and individuals out of every possible meaning of poverty! Thanks you! Daniel
I love being present and on-the-ground in an update such as this! These people are absolutely wonderful … these refugees who have been through so much pain, are life-giving yet again!
Great pleasure is mine in being here in Spitak, ARMENIA, House of Esther(HoE) … and in relating to you these refugees from war-torn Syria. It’s difficult to communicate their gratefulness in our presence and our meager gifts of time, teaching and relationships deepened. A warmer audience one will not find.
Each has a story of great loss of homes, family members, friends, neighbors.
Since my time here last year, chicken coops have been expanded, a fish farm started, gardens enlarged, fruit trees planted, volunteers recruited, furniture and appliances delivered, buildings insulated, and many other living conditions improved. Deeper yet is the foundation of “HOPE” they now have, in a secure location free from war-tensions and greater losses.
A primary focus has been in the teaching of TCD-Transformational Community Development. While I usually teach such courses in villager-settings, this material is adaptable to HoE and refugees starting lives over. Our aim in HoE is for it to become as self-sustaining as is possible.
Local entrepreneur Gayane was very gracious in showing us her business as well as translating for us in the TCD sessions.
Thanks for being such an integral part of such Help and Hope to others!
Snezana & Daphne – Dorgovska Mahala Village – Lebane, SERBIASnezana, Gloria, Priya & Filip – Health Evaluation ResultsPriya & Filip(translator) – Eye Exams
STT-Short Term Team from Orlando, Florida was on the ground only days ago in the Roma/Gypsy village of Dorgovska Mahala, Lebane, SERBIA. In every capacity, this team complimented each other as they served the local community in basic health evaluations of blood-work, urine analysis, blood pressure, weight and height, and eye exams. We in GHNI are extremely proud of this team, as they worked so well together, allowing the translator(Filip) to weave through all the activities for three days of non-stop fun, relationship-building, and the serious nature of health screenings. Somewhat expecting reluctancy initially from the Roma community, they quickly took to us and our desire to serve in these capacities.

TCD-Transformational Community Development was taught on two different days, and a measurably high percentage of the attendees ended the sessions, eager to implement what they had learned so far, unreserved! This certainly excites us in GHNI, as it means the local TCD-Trainer (Snezana) has both done an excellent job of preparing their lives relationally for sustainable development … and will be allowed to continue vesting in their lives in the coming year and years.
Year ahead looks extremely promising, as we look to Snezana for continued leadership and the hope of adding an additional trainer from within this Roma/Gypsy community! This potential person is key in allowing them as Roma, to lift themselves out of generational entrenched poverty.
Thanks to you in abundance for allowing all this to happen so quickly and in such a quality manner, all in only one year so far! If you would enjoy helping this particular Roma village lift themselves out of poverty, and in turn preparing them to lift other Roma villages in the area out of poverty, please visit us at:
Again, thanks for all you are and do for this special village in South Serbia!!! Dan
